Oh, I love a good face care routine and indulging in some self-pampering. These days we have a variety of products and tools to help get the best care. Two of my favourite face massage tools these days are Face Rollers and Gua Sha.

I am a Jade Roller person as it is easy for me to work with and saves time. Gua Sha is more beneficial in every aspect but one needs to learn its correct use and how to work their way around it. Face rollers and Gua Sha are two different products serving the same purpose but working distinctly to give deeper results.

In this article I would like to share with you the Top 3 common benefits of face rollers and Gua Sha:

1. Penetrates the Skin-care Products:

Jade rolling is an effective way to help skincare products penetrate more deeply. If you use your jade roller after moisturizing, it will help to push down all the good properties inside the cellular layer of your face. Wherein Gua Sha has to be used with your face oils or hydrating serums. This too helps in penetrating the moisture goodness inside your skin.

2. Lymphatic Circulation:

As massaging our head and body at timely intervals is relaxing so is face massage. Using a jade roller in vertical and horizontal motions on your face will result in increasing the blood flow and it improves lymph circulation. Similarly using Gua Sha gives the same result but with the added benefit of formulating and circulating energy in the skin cells which results in firmer and radiant-looking skin.

3. Helps in Muscle Relaxation:

Every massage ends in relaxing the muscles and using face rollers or Gua Sha is just as same as any massage. Our face is our brand ambassador and it requires great care to make it presentable all the time.

Gua Sha is known to distinctly lessen the tension in the neck and shoulder muscles. It also helps our face muscles to relax. It refines the skin and softens tension from “poor face posture” (dull grumpy or worried face).

Do’s and Don’ts:

  • A Gua Sha should never be used without applying oil to the face.

  • Always start from the neck first as it clears the lymph passage ways.

  • Always use a light hand while using both; the stones will do the rest.

  • Make sure you sanitize the rollers with alcohol before every use.

Using Face rollers and Gua Sha is super fun and calming. I have been using them for almost 1.5 years now and I can safely say that it works and that warmed-up feeling after the usage is super satisfying and indescribable. So don’t any more time!! Get yourself some of these products!!
