All of us want to be trendy but isn't it hard to always stay updated? It is an expensive affair and not every change is affordable.

Yes, there are knock offs and first copies but we miss that feeling of wearing the latest trends on time when it is IN.

We know one should never judge a book by its cover but in terms of clothing we all judge or formulate the first impression of a person by looking at the way he or she is dressed.

Fashion nowadays has become very personal and expressive. It doesn’t matter if one follows a trend but following the trend highlighting your personality is the new cool. It is important for the person to feel comfortable in his/her own choice of trend.

Summer 2021 is almost here and it’s time to show off our beach bodies. Did you all check out the new summer trends? Tie and dye, croquet, denim, etc are all in talk. Considering the last few months were a little dull and slow, not everyone would spend a lot on just shopping.

Have you ever tried DIY? What if I share with you a few quick and fun DIY projects that you can indulge in to stay updated in your trend game?

3 Fun DIY fashion trends on a budget:

1. Tie & Dye projects:

Every website, every store, every magazine has a clothing range of tie & dye. From matching sweats to shorts with halter tops and even bikinis, tie and dye are the most fun whimsical prints suiting almost every personality.

Get yourself a plain white pair of pants or a t-shirt or a bikini, some colourful fabric dyes, a water bucket and some rope or bands to tie the knot creating the pattern. You can easily get a ready to use DIY kit too. Add the colour of your choice, create your whimsical patterns and voila your very own handmade tie and dye print is ready!

2. Crochet is not just for grandma this year:

Did you see the latest crochet designs by Fendi and Bottega Veneta?

It is time-consuming to sew your design but for those who love to sew, design your dream sleek outfit. And for those like me, use tablecloths or a throw or a shawl and flaunt them by creating your piece. In a basic T-shirt cut the sleeves or make a crop top and replace it with crochet or add the layer of ready crochet lace after all it is all about flaunting flawlessly your styles.

3. Patch, Embellish or fringe it up:

This is one of my favourite DIY projects as it allows me to showcase my personality at its best. I can be as loud as I want it to be and express my moods and emotions by sending a clear message with my clothes. You can find those quirky patches or badges that go with your style, from pearls to gems, anything that sparkles is good, and those moody flair fringes.

I love dazzling up my denim jeans and jackets. I can make them as unique as I want them to be.

All we need is the patience and a will to create something of our own. Fashion does not need to be expensive. It is just a myth. Feel free to experiment with some DIY projects and I am very sure you will fall in love with your creation.

Happy DIYing Readers
